Education & Early Years (Teaching) T Level

T Levels are designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or further study. They combine core knowledge and skills needed to work in your chosen industry sector with a technical qualification, and a substantial work placement equivalent to 3 A Levels.

This challenging and exciting course allows you to study a number of core units in the first year, including.
– Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
– Supporting education
– Safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
– English as an Additional Language (EAL)
– Child development

As well as the core units, you will complete an employer-set project to complement the theory and practical aspects of the qualification.

You will then study ‘Teaching’ as your occupational specialism in Year 2, where you will get the opportunity to build your knowledge and skills alongside demonstrating your competence in a work environment.

An essential component of this qualification is the substantial work placement in a relevant setting – a minimum of 315 hours. This is completed in conjunction with your theory assessments and will ensure that at the end of the course, you will have the skills needed by employers in this sector or the qualifications to enable you to progress on to university.

If you want a career working within the education sector, for example in teaching, this would be the course for you.
